Instructions

Your Bag should arrive as a completely solid white block with no signs of visible contamination. Open the package carefully and using a clean cloth wipe down the side opposite the label. Make a small cross in this side with a clean knife no bigger than 5cm (2-4 cm seems best)

Place the bag somewhere it can breathe within the preferred temperature range and mist lightly daily (cooled boiled water is best) on the cross until the mushroom pins appear. Once mushrooms are visible keep misting the plastic at the base of the mushrooms rather than the mushrooms to avoid damage and bacterial infections.

Once Caps start to flatten harvest by twisting off at the base, making sure to remove debris that would interfere/contaminate the second harvest. You usually don’t need to start misting again for 2-3 days to give the block time to rest. The second and third flushes are always smaller and take longer than the first as nutrients are depleted and a lot of the moisture has been removed from the block.

Once the bag stops producing mushrooms you can use as a mulch or compost to add nutrients back to your garden.
